So… About last week…
I was sick and because of that, you got a lack-luster effort. I’d say I’m sorry but we both know that would be a lie. To repay you, I’m going to give you an updated power ranking.
- Jake. Right? This makes sense here. At this point this team is like Hiroshima after the bomb. He lost David Johnson, so I kinda feel bad for you but there has been some swing and misses from your draft.
- Derek. Maybe I was wrong about Derek all this team. So bad picks, injured players and under-performing Chargers. I do like some of Derek’s players so maybe you can back door a playoff spot but at this point I don’t think you’re getting much out of this season.
- Ben. Doug Martin… You got that going for you. It’s just tough top to bottom, but how bout that Texans D/ST! If you can get 25-30 points a week out of them, you have a chance every week.
9. Tim. Things got bad quick when Odell went down. I’m worried about Hyde keeping his job and Gillislee fumbled last week so he’s basically cut. I have zero faith in J-Stew but you do have Fournette… So that’s good…
- Adam. Anytime you’re starting Sammy Watkins consistently, you know there’s a problem. I honestly believe there is a half dozen player on waivers that will out score him next week. I don’t believe in DeMarco, that job’s gone, I don’t believe in Howard as a weekly star player either but you can thank Jarrod for the gift of Wentz.
- Gray. Clears Throat Adrian Peterson did NOT find the fountain of youth. He will come back to earth. Clears Throat Outside of Bell, Gronk and Thomas, this team sucks. Ok, now that I got that out of the way, I can’t believe in a team that starts Torrey Smith. I just can’t.
- Logan. Yep, another bold pick. I really like Logan’s team. I think it’s got good depth, good starters and an above average name. Not only is this team making the playoffs, but I don’t want to see this team in the first round either.
- Hanna. So, this whole team and season is dependent on Zek not only playing the rest of the year but also he needs to become the Zeke of last year. I think both will happen. Also, gotta hustle your way to starting finding a QB1 each week, good luck.
- Mitchell. Great team. Better guy.
- Mason. Lots of depth. I’m not sold on the Oakland offense though and that could be your biggest weakness. Jordy losing Aaron also really hurts. There is a chance that both Foreman and Henry could be starters very soon though so… you got that going for you.
- Caleb. Here’s the good. Larry Fitz has actually found the fountain of youth (maybe he’ll show AP), Gurley and Gordon are both over achieving. Here’s the bad. C.J. Anderson is slowing down, I don’t think Gurley or Gordon are 20+ guys a week and Jameis has been disappointing. Still a really good team, egg on my face but I’m not sure if you keep winning every week. Also D-Hop might start getting the side girl treatment, now that Will Fuller is around.
- Jarrod. Defense or no Defense, it’s a pretty good team. Here’s what worries me, I do not like Lamar Miller moving forward. I think Foreman is too good to keep under wraps much longer. I also don’t think Deshaun Watson can keep up what he’s doing. I mean, he’s good but I don’t think he’s top 5 good. (Dang, didn’t I say the same thing about Hunt… Hmm)
To the picks.
Jarrod vs Logan.
Hot take time. Jarrod, you better go get a D/ST cause this one’s gonna be close. I hate anyone playing on a Thursday night, so Hunt and Crabtree are kinda low in my book tonight. I like New Orleans match up with Green Bay and I like Captian Kirk on MNF. I do think Jarrod wins but a close one.
Hanna vs Jake
Matt Ryan is going to bounce back this week. Hogan probably catches a TD but… yea that’s about it. Zeke is going off in this game, take it to the bank. Also I really like Blount vs Washington. Hanna wins.
Gray vs Tim
Well, if Tom Brady score 50, then Tim’s got a real shot here… Fournette is banged up, Hyde is a dart throw and Bill Belicheck is trying to blow up Gillislee with his sith powers. Gray wins.
Derek vs Adam
Wentz has a fantastic match-up this week, plus he has the great white hope (Christian McCaffery) and only one horrible starter (Sammy Watkins). Derek might be getting Diggs back, Kamara has a nice match-up and maybe Joe Mixon gets the ball this week… who knows? I’m going Derek in an upset… I was just one week off.
Mason vs Caleb
Second biggest game of the week. Gordon. Denver. Gurley. Arizona. Bad news for Caleb. Mason might start Amari Cooper. Good news for Caleb. I think both of these teams are really good, so it’s defiantly going to be a close one. The best match-up of this game is defiantly Freeman against New England, I also like Coleman. Ahh… Caleb… I guess. If Mason starts Cooper than Caleb. If Mason starts Coleman, then Mason.
Mitchell vs Ben
Well, Ben’s highest scoring player (Houston D/ST) is on a bye. Good news for Mitchell. Also, LeSean McCoy gets to put on a Lobos jersey on once again. Last time McCoy was in a Lobos jersey… I won the championship. Coincidence? I think not. #Awwooooolllll
