This week I started a new playlist on Spotify called “Songs that were once my profile song on MySpace”, catchy I know. As I compile the list, a rush of emotion comes over me. I can actually remember the feeling/emotions that lead me to putting that song on my profile. Shadow Stabbing by Cake is one of those songs… Don’t get me wrong, it’s a good song but the reason it made the playlist was different than the rest. The summer of 2009 I was going into my 9th grade school year, our country was setting into a repression. Which, was tough for everyone but for my family (small contractor business) we were broke. So, instead of our typical vacation to North Carolina and Michigan, our family moved into our grandparent’s house in Lake Alfred to conserve. It was a depressing summer, I actually told most of my friends I went to Michigan to spare myself the embarrassment. I had my PS2 and about 6 DVD’s for most of the summer. One of them being Orange County. A very underwhelming comedy where Jack Black ruins/saves his brothers live. That movie featured, you guessed it, Shadow Stabbing by Cake. Thus it became my MySpace profile song.
Why did I chose to tell you this story? Well, like my dark times, some of you are in fantasy dark times. You are at the point where you either have to start winning of come to the realization that your season was a waste and you donated $50 to someone you don’t really like.
I spent that summer ashamed of my families short coming instead of owning it. My advise to you, struggling fantasy owner, own it. Learn from it. Donate your money again next year and be better. TO THE PICKS!
Hanna vs Logan
Well, Logan made me look like a genius last week (thanks buddy). Hanna’s team was latched to the suspected woman beating back of Ezekiel Elliott as he rampaged over the 49ers like a man… well… beating a lesser person… This week, either team has a fantastic “win you the week” match up. It’s going to be a tossup but I like the back half of Logan’s team better than Hanna’s. Logan wins.
Tim vs Jake

Hit both of those on the head. This week in a rather uneventful match up but we do have a fine watch! Team is still starting a WR on a bye… Will he get a $5 fine?! Does anyone really win?!
Derek vs Gray
Two teams that refuse to make a trade… Two teams that refuse to win games… Gray, who’s team is good? Or bad? Well, Brees, Bell, Thomas and Gronk is a pretty good start but I really don’t think this team is “win a playoff game” good. Derek on the other hand is still trying to scrap together a win. Like one. Even though his team doesn’t look that bad, he still cannot put together a win. Don’t think it happens this week either. Gray wins.
Adam vs Mason
Don’t look now but Adam’s team is 4-3 and looks like it’s poised to make a playoff run. Nice tip of the hit Jarrod for donating Carson Wentz. Mason’s team is starting to turn the page, coming off a nice win against Caleb. This should be a good one but I think Mason just has the better roster… no way around it. Mason wins.
Caleb vs Ben
Well, Caleb got his wish and he finally lost a game. I know, I’m the first one to hate on a roster but I would like to say, this his team is very good. Now granted, it might have seen it’s best weeks already but it is good… Now for the hate. Jk. Carson Palmer getting hurt is brutal though. I feel the same towards cabbage as I do to Ben’s team. Don’t prefer it but I don’t hate it. Caleb wins.
Mitchell vs Jarrod
Now to the good stuff. This is a premier match-up where the best team in the league by far takes on an upper middle pack team…but enough about my team, let’s talk about Jarrod. I mean, it is a really good team. Top to bottom, the team is good but this week there are some tough match-ups. Houston is at Seattle, Kareem Hunt is playing Denver and Crabtree is going cross country to play Buffalo. Jarrod’s good, but I feel like my team can compete. I like my match-ups better this week. #Awoooooolllllll
