Panic Time… Plus Week 2 Picks

So… everybody panic right? I mean, we got to see real football this weekend and some players/team really under performed. So… everybody panic right?

Instead of the emotional or funny intro I usually give you, I am going to give you 3 teams that should… maybe not panic but at least be on alert.

1stCaleb– Man… same story, different week. Here’s why I believe you should have more panic than last week. Right now you don’t want anyone associating your team with Kenyon Drake, Dolphin players or any part of the city of Miami. That’s how bad they are. Even though Courtland Sutton is a reason to celebrate, still worried about the whole Drake, Barber and your entire bench situation you got going on. Needless to say… there are some holes that need to be addressed.

2ndDerek– Wait a second… Derek scored 136 points and won last week… why would he need to panic? Great question me… Well, he had 70 of his points scored by 2 player and an additional 27 scored by his defense and kicker… what does that leave for the rest of the team? 39 points. 5 players. Maybe Sammy Watkins scores 40 points a game… but I highly doubt it. The truth is, still some questionable starter on this team and Tevin Coleman got hurt.

3rdBen– Not a terrible week… and some hope on the bench… but Ben’s team is lacking something very pivotal to fantasy football success. That’s top end RB’s. Without 1 or 2 of those supplying consistent points, it leaves you chasing points from 3rd or 4th tier WR’s which is like sliding into a cute girls DM’s and hoping it works. It has worked before… but most of the time you’re at home… abusing your noodle.

TO THE PICKS

Mason vs Ben

Well, mason scored 70 points last week, now his is starting Josh Allen at QB. Oh how the mighty have fallen… I don’t believe Mason needs to be hitting the panic button yet but, another bad week from Green Bay, you might want to make some phone calls. Ben, it’s a shame you didn’t move on from AB this week, if he gets suspended, so does your playoff chances. As for this week, this is the last chance for Sony Michel, which sounds a little extra but if he can’t get it done and get some touches playing Miami, it’s past time to panic on him.

 Mason wins

Jarro vs Hanna

Hanna won by 1 tenth of a point… that’s good clean-living folks. How about Marlon Mack, it seems as if when the Colts lost their QB they decided to just run the ball… crazy. Bad week from Cooks, the good news is Mathew Berry thinks he will go off this week. So he’s going to score 5 points. Jarro’s team rolled last week (like expected). This week, he should be looking for a bounce back week from Freeman and, dare I say, Nick Chubb? I know he was decent last week but I’d like to see the whole team be better and I’d like to see Chubb get into the endzone. I do think this game will be close but….

Jarro wins

Derek vs Father Tim

Talk about a bad beat… sorry big dog. (I advised him to not start Lamar Jackson… don’t ever listen to me). Good news is, this team that looked dead in the water over summer, showed some signs of life last week. Chris Thompson might still be useable, Ty Hilton looked good and DK Metcalf looked excellent. All good things. I already gave some thoughts on Dereks team, but what he needs this week is a bounce back week from Mike Evans and Derrick Henry to continue to look like he did last week. If Derrick Henry is a monster, Derek’s team could make it to the second round of the playoffs….

Y’all ready for it? MY STONE COLD LEAD PIPE LOCK OF THE WEEK.

Tim Wins

Adam vs Jake

What if… and stick with me here… Jake lost back to back games to start the season. How great would that be?

That’s it. That’s all I got for this one.

Well and some other stuff…

Adam probably should be a little more panicked about TGIII and the fact that he isn’t getting redzone work. Also, he should be worried about the fact that Drew Brees threw one pass over 20 yards last week (You know who else did that? Payton Manning at the end of his career and we know how that ended. Someone call the brocketlauncher).

Also Jake should feel good about Austin Ekler. Also, Kelce will probably get a bump since Hill is out, that’s a bright side…

I don’t want to say it but Jake is winning this matchup….

 Jake wins

Caleb vs Logan

Huge… I am talking HUGE matchup here. Two teams that will be fighting for a playoff spot and one of them is starting 0-2. For Caleb, Mark Ingram looked like the guy we expected in 2011. Which is good. DeAndre Hopkins might be an alien and Courtland Sutton might be the pick of the draft. For Logan, Josh Jacobs looked like the guy we expected in 2019. Emmanuel Sanders looked like he was never hurt and DeSean Jackson wasn’t shot or arrested in a gang related event… so that’s good. But… James Conner (Gronk eyes emoji) get your panic button ready… All things considered, Logan takes care of business this week.

Logan wins

 Mitchell vs Gray

The Lobos… ARE. BACK. Great week from the Bo’s even though I had two guys throw up a heap of crap but don’t worry, my team is built for 2 or 3 stars to carry me every week. It’s pretty great. Gray pulled the upset of the century. Huge win for him. As far as this week goes, only one thing matters… and that’s Harrison Butker vs Greg Zuerlein. The great battle of the kickers. The only position that matters. Butker has a decent matchup @ Oakland but GTL has the Saints at home in what promises to be the shootout of the week. I’m going GTL.

Mitchell wins

Well, that all folks, back to drinking, hoping the Bucs cover and Godwin gets a TD.

Kisses :*
