“Do you want to lead the way?”
“Uh… I don’t care”
“Well… I want you to get the fully haunted house experience, so you better lead the way”
This is a real-life conversation I had with Hanna as we enjoyed Halloween Horror Nights, last night. I learned several things walking around last night, and since this blog is one of the few places of free expression I have left, I figure I will share here.
1st. If I ever need to express my masculinity, haunted house aren’t where I need to go. Don’t worry though friends, I masked my fear with the occasional “Oh you got me there” to the grown man dress as a Yeti that had just scared the shit out of me.
2nd. Logan is one of my best hype men and will 100% be at my first stand up performance. (Hanna isn’t allowed to come)
3rd The people who think it’s funny to scream at the top of their lungs at everything going through a haunted house and the people who feel the need to say “Hi!” to every haunted house actor are the worst people in the world.
Jarro vs Jake
Hey, stupid Jarro’s team is really good and it bothers me because there was that one brief moment where I thought that maybe… just maybe he wasn’t any good. What a moment. Speaking of disappointment, Jake’s team is back? (Yes a question mark is supposed to be there). Tyreek Hill is back, but top 5 (to this point) RB Austin Ekler is lost in RBBC land. A scary place that looks like the upside down. This week though, Jarro is missing Chub and CMC, and it’s crazy how bad your team looks when you lose your best players.
Jake Wins (edit, Kamara is out and Jake’s definitely gonna lose)
Ben vs Gray
Remember that blissful moment, when Gray beat Jake the first week of the season. What a moment. Well, that moment is dead. Fun fact, for how bad Gray’s team has looked, he has still scored more points that Logan & Derek. Yikes. Ben’s team is a quite .500 and not too terrible in the points scored category. And if Carlos Hyde was showing something more than just a revenge game last week, he might actually have something here. Ben should win easly this week.
Ben Wins
Adam vs Hanna
Well, it finally happened… Adam’s team became capable of what I always knew he was capable of… A horrible week. The Gurley/Goff stack is a shaky bet at best (psssttt… I’ve been saying that for 6 months now) and apparently Keenan Allen is human? Which is a bummer for me because I have that dude in like 3 other leagues. Anyways, tough couple weeks for Hanna, she now hates MVS with a passion and anyone with the last name sanders. I’ve got Hanna here, gotta stay on brand of hating Adam for ruining my perfect season.
Hanna Wins
Derek vs Logan
The battle over Mitchell’s heart. Also, the battle of the two worst statistical teams in the league. I will stay bullish in my love for Logan’s team. I feel like I am Sean McVay and Logan is every coach that got a job because they were near Sean McVay for a season. This is a team that is trying to be built like the Lobo’s and I am here for it. But the team is still 1 or 2 stars away from being set. Derek, on the other hand, has become the Cincinnati Bengals and it is both sad and fitting. Because he deserves it for making wack ass trades with Mason.
Logan wins
Mason vs Caleb
With the latest Graping. This Mistresses. ARE. BACCCKKKK. And it will be a fun story line to follow the rest of the season because he has dug himself quite the hole… but like everyone makes the playoffs in this league so all that means is that he will end up playing a high seed team to start the playoffs. Please. Not. Me. Caleb made a bad drunk trade at Derek’s wedding… which wasn’t with me… so I hate him. With wins over the bottom three teams, I am not impressed with his 3-3 record.
Mason wins
Mitchell vs Father Tim
Well, after James Connor AND Chris Godwin went off last week, I think I may have lost that trade… but also it’s tough to know until after Adams finally plays. Speaking of Adams finally playing, the Lobo’s haven’t been full strength since week 1 (missing number one player in fantasy Saquan Barkley for 5 weeks, AJ Green for 3 weeks and now Adams for 2 weeks) in that time span, the Lobos are 5-1, haven’t scored less than 120 and are only behind the Landsharks by 4 points for most points overall. This week, The Lobos get Saquan, next week hopefully Adams and AJ Green. All of this to say, yeeesshhhh I’ve got the best team in the league (that won’t win the championship). Speaking of winning…
Mitchell Wins
Hey God, it’s me Mitchell… Sorry I didn’t talk to you last week, I figured we were playing Illinois and I didn’t need your help… Oh how wrong I was. Speaking of needing your help, I am going to need some divine intervention in my life because Michigan plays Penn State Saturday in Happy Valley… you know Happy Valley? Where the assistant coach… uh… you know the story. Anyways, Jimmy H is a good catholic boy and well… lets just say Happy Valley isn’t always Happy for everyone. Ya feel me? So it only feels fitting that Michigan should win Saturday. Right? I am glad we can agree on this one.
With Love.
Mitchell.
