This past Sunday I paid ten us dollars to have former Wisconsin RB Montee Ball give a speech to motivate the Lobos and remind everyone who daddy is… It didn’t work, as I lost to Ben. But, Jarro said it was one of the best moments in league history and that got me thinking… what is the best moments in league history? Here’s my top 3.
Honorable Mentions-
The 2018 rules meeting where we decided to go to a dynasty league was pretty great. I was having to skype people in, making phone calls and listen Caleb yell all while being drunk in Lake Wales… It was fun.
The 2018 Thanksgiving Week podcast we recorded at the Yall Come Back. I think it was Gray, Jake, Jarro, Logan, Derek and myself. It was a lot of phone and I had a very scary drive home at 1am.
NUMBER 3
The first ever MFL draft. I know everyone who is here now wasn’t there, but essentially, I took the whole bottom floor of the 149 and made it into a draft room. There was a podium, everyone got their own tables and about an hour before the draft started, Logan Smith called and said he couldn’t make it, so Hanna took his place and I think it was that moment that saved our marriage.
NUMBER 2
Last season’s Thursday Night parties at the mansion in Lake Wales. Each one was great. Also, the first podcast and periscope. They were so long and stupid. It was great. Every time I went, I ended up staying until like 3am and would get home at 5am. It was silly.
NUMBER 1
There’s no question about this right? The scavenger hunt was the type of thing legends are made of. My favorite moments include, all the calls to 92.5 asking for insane clown posse. When Logan asked the lady at petsmart what animals were best for sacrifice and then just said “actually where are your puppies”. I die laughing just thinking about it.
Reminiscing on things like this remind me why I love this league so much and why, even though this is all stupid, it’s 100% worth it.
Jake vs Mason
The bastards are officially back. I say that as a statement. Team is healthy and making the push for the playoffs. Meanwhile, Mason is still out here doing Mason things. Praying on the weak. Selling his soul for the W. I think this game will be close, EVEN THOUGH Jake has two starters on bye. My soul says Jake but my head says Mason.

Jarro lost last week to Adam the giant slayer. Gray is alive but still terrible. Enjoy the bye week Jarro.

Adam vs Ben
The battle of the two people I hate most right now. Two people who conquered the Lobos. Now, don’t get me wrong here, I keep telling y’all Ben is pretty decent. Team is deep enough to almost be unaffected by a bye week. Adam’s team is probably better than I have given him credit for at times. It’s a good team… that’s all the nice things I can say about Adams team. I think this will be a close won and another potential upset but with Arizona on bye I can’t pick Ben.

Tim vs Logan
Well, as Mason said on the group chat, Logan has a chance to be a playoff spoiler. I doubt Shepard plays though, and I know Kittle is close but who knows how close. Ty Hilton is most likely back tonight, which is a huge boost for Tim and Lamar Jackson is still dropping 40 a game. I think ole Timbo Joe pulls out a close one here.

Caleb vs Derek
The real playoff spoiler is in this game, as Derek has the opportunity to put the final nail in Caleb’s playoff coffin. I still don’t love either of these rosters, Caleb has more potential in his starters this week and Derek should be tanking. I don’t like Hollywood or RJII this week and I am not sold on Bo Scarbrough. I think this will be yet another close one, but I am going with Caleb

Well, for starters, thanks for last Saturday. That was great. But now our attention has shifted. We have that sneaky team in Indiana up next… the run the devils offense (the spread) and refuse to do what all the other B1G team do and just run the ball up the middle. Although I know the evil that awaits us, I just pray for your provision as we head into this battle before we face the beast.
