Setting the Scene
*It’s Halloween Night and 5 young youths from the local town have made their way into the Haunted house at the end of the street*
Max: “Uh… guys…. I don’t think we should be in here”
Logan: “Max you’re such a baby! I don’t understand why we let the little baby even hang out with us”
Jake: “Shut up Logan! Sure, Max is younger than us, but he is still in the gang… and the gang sticks together no matter what”
Hanna: “Guys look! There’s strange writing on the wall… It says Lobo Power”
Adam: “What’s a Lobo?”
*The five continue to wander around the house, they make their way into the basement*
Max: “Did.. Did anyone bring a flashlight?”
Logan: “What?? Is the baby scared??”
Hanna: “Guys stop it! I am starting to get freaked out too… maybe it’s time to get out of here… I bet we can still go to some houses and get more candy”
Adam: “But if we leave now, we won’t even know if it’s true!”
Max: “If what’s true?”
Logan: “Of course… the baby doesn’t even know!”
Max: “Shut up!!”
Jake: “Legend has it… a beast lives down here… He has been trapped for centuries and if you break into the beasts house, on Halloween night and howl three times… he will be unleashed”
Hanna: “It’s not true…”
Logan: “Then do it!!”
Hanna: “No YOU! Unless you are a… …. CHICKEN”
Logan: “Hey you don’t say that!… I am not a chicken. I’ll do it right now”
Adam: “Logan don’t!”
Logan: “You guys are a bunch of BABIES! Awhol. Awhol. Awhol… see nothing happened.”
*The house begins to shake. All of the sudden a hidden door opens and a cloud of mist fills the room. Frozen, the kids stand there. They hear a window open as a dark figure rushes out. A distant howl is heard as the mist leaves the room*
Ben’s Team vs Papa Tim
Man… what a bummer of a first game. Two teams that are just sad. Ben’s team went to the super bowl last year… now it’s looking like a rebuild is in play. Papa Tim had some hope going into this year, but it’s fading as fast as Lamar Jackson. Remember kids, the NFL catches up… always. Give me Father Tim, I think Lamar Jackson runs it up on Phily… Yes I can contradict myself and you can’t do anything about it.
Logan’s Legion vs Mason’s Mistress
This matchup features two owners who both have recently muted the group chat… which isn’t cool guys. You need to hear my every thought and emotion at all times… that’s basically the point of the group chat. Right? Well, on the football side of things, this week is a must win for Logan and also a must win for Mason. The rare case where both teams have their back against the wall… or maybe one teams back is against the wall and the other is trapped in a corner… either way, big game. I think Julio plays and has a big game (because I just traded him) and I think CEH lays an egg against a tough Buffalo D. GIVE ME THE LEGION
Jake’s Jive Turkeys vs Jarro’s Landsharks
Jake made the big “win now” move and traded his first-round pick for Mike Davis. That coming on the heels of a humbling defeat at the hands of the Lobos. This game isn’t must win for either team but I do think there might be reason to pause if Jake loses again. Despite his early success, I am still not sold on the JT’s. There’s still too many holes on that starting lineup and Mike Davis only has a couple more weeks of being relevant. Jarro’s just in the middle of the hurricane, hold on and wait for it to pass.
I think every teams blue print against KC is the same, hold the ball, keep it out of Mahomes hands. It worked to perfection for Las Vegas last week and I imagine Buffalo does more of the same. Give me the Landsharks in a tight one.
Hanna’s Honeys vs The Dahminators
Can someone beat Max? Please? I am sick and tired of it. His team is starting to look better by the week and he still has Ekler on IR. So… someone stop this madness before I have to kick him out of the league… oh by the way Max, that’s basically how it works, if you have too much success I kick you out… so take it easy.
I am not a Chase Claypool guy, yet… I’d look for Juju to get a fair amount of action next week. Hanna’s team is finding ways to win every week but losing Dak hurts. No way around it. It takes her team from set it and forget it to now maybe needing a player or two. This week should be interesting, I think Dallas’s offense will be fine, I like Golladay in Jax and a little wavier wire love from Travis Fulgham… I am not sure if that will be enough tho. Give me Maxi to win and also give me a couple recommendations to replace him.
Adam’s Island Survivors vs Uncle Sammy’s Elite
Battle of two playoff teams here. Adam’s team is good, there’s no fighting that. My issue is I don’t think it’s top 4, second round of the playoffs good. The Devonta Freeman stuff isn’t real, you know my feelings on JT & Slayton and if you think Jamaal Williams isn’t a thing in GB, you’re crazy. I’d love to see Adam get rid of Matt Ryan and get another player he can start or pair with another guy for a top 40 guy. I think the best way to put it is, Adam is the fantasy football equivalent to Wisconsin. Always near the top 10 in the AP, makes the B1G championship game but never really a team you worry about making the college football playoff… ya know? It’s both a compliment and an insult all at the same time. Caleb’s team is eh… and that’s all I got. Give me the Island Survivors to take care of business here.
Derek’s BDE vs Mitchell’s Lobos
So… I am for sure gonna lose to Derek right? Like that’s the only thing that would keep up with the trend of my season. Since we got my game pick out of the way and I don’t think yall want to hear me talk about myself, let’s talk about Derek. Derek is doing the thing some of you other people need to do… Build for the future. Take a page from Father Tim and Derek, just draft young players, go get dudes who are on IR or losing value. They aren’t all going to hit, but if 2 or 3 turn into top 20-30 guys, you can change your teams outlook. You can go from bottom third to putting together something that might go deep into the playoffs. You gotta do something, you gotta trade dudes who have value this year for guys who will have twice the value next year. Just sitting on players is a great way to end up 6-10 every year.
