Yes yes yes, my picks haven’t been getting enough traction on the inter-webs so I decided to take a page from ESPN and embrace the debate culture so people pay attention to my shit.
This time, instead of the basic tired old top 12 lists, I’m going to also break the list into tiers. Each tier is ranked lowest to highest. Let’s go…
Tier 1:
Lose with a plan
12. Caleb: This isn’t a surprise right. 556 PF 😬
11. Ben: There was a moment where we thought Ben might have something. The moment is gone. You need to get a high pick, then some draft luck.
4 of y’all are going into this tier… but only 2 of y’all are making the playoffs
10. Jake: The JT’s need some magic. 3rd lowest in PF so far, and that’s probably because there have been some preseason misses. BUT I will say, ATL will use Pitts more out of the bye week and it feels like we are seeing near floor performances from Mahomes, Kamara & Waller. So, no where to go but up.
9. Max: Yes, I’ve got the last two super bowl teams in the “You night miss the playoffs” tier. A dismal 664 PF, some injuries and some questionable trades took Max from a team you didn’t want to play to one you’re happy to play. I think the team comes around, Woods is building something with Stafford, MT should be back soon and you get Monty healthy and the lineup isn’t that bad.
8. Hanna: Before you say anything… it’s a crime that I have Hanna THIS LOW. 6th overall in PF but with a insane 829 PA. That’s absolutely brutal. The team is good and by its merit should make the playoffs but like I said last week… the hole is getting deeper and deeper.
7. Adam: It’s a solid team. Make the dance, get hot and you could win it all. But I feel like you’re 1 top 10 guy away from being a top contender. So, probably not a points championship but this year but he could easily win a playoff game.
You’re gonna make the playoffs… probably.
6. Jarro: Well this is sad. The teams so hurt it isn’t worth making jokes. Hopefully CMC comes back fine for the playoffs? The Cleveland guys will be fine. Good news, you took care of business early, get a couple cheap wins and get healthy.
5. Papa Tim: Man oh man were the rest of us wrong on ole Uncle Lenny. Dudes not washed AND is the clear lead back in Tampa Bay. I thought it’d be committee split no matter what, in my face. Speaking of things we were wrong on, Debo-> WR1. Swift -> RB1. Best part for Timbo, his team is so young. Only headed up.
4. Mitchell: Some weeks are scarier than others for the Lobos but the fact is, the team isn’t what it used to be. Antonio Gibson might be a huge miss for me. Traded Davante Adams for him and the return isn’t there… YET. The team has gotten younger though so… maybe a little sliver lining for a disappointing start.
Leading the pack
3. Mason: Still in the top tier but you’re getting closer and closer to the line. Getting the Kyler Murray/DHop stack is nice and Arz is winning right now so everything is fun… but… Kyler isn’t running. Like at all. Which is a little troubling when you consider his floor. Without running, those sub-20 games can be in play. Considering the whole starting lineup though, there’s such a high floor. So much star power. This team could still sweep scoring title and SB and I wouldn’t be surprised.
2. Derek: The team is so damn solid all the way through. Everyone on the team is clicking all at the same time and with each passing week the high scoring becomes more and more expected. I still think Derek’s players will regress to the mean a bit. But at this point, what does that mean? Going from scoring 150+ a week to scoring 120+ 🤷♂️ still enough to win points and a SB.
- Logan: Yes, this team is still best team in the MFL. Even though he isn’t as deep as Derek, his starting lineup is better. His starting lineup is so good I don’t think it could get any better. Unless we just literally give him the best 6 players in the league. If I’m a betting man, I’m putting it on Logan still.

Derek vs Jarro
Man, Jarro is Keanu Reeves at QB away from being Gene Hackman in The Replacements. And I’m here for it. Zero expectations while 2/3rds of the team is on IR. Just go golf on Sundays and enjoy your life. Derek, you’re stupid and I’m tired of talking about you being good.

Caleb vs Mason
Hey, that Jerry Jeudy trade is starting to look good. Allen Robinson is 🗑 and I love Jeudy. Derek wouldn’t trade him to me all off-season cause he’s a jerk. Mason, go golf on Sunday.

Max vs Jake
I said it in the power rankings, but Jake is coming around. I think ATL can’t put Pitts back in the box. It’s out, we know he’s good, we saw what he could do in London, now just get him the ball. Waller is reaching a critical stretch were we are going to learn if he’s actually good. Gruden liked him a lot and made him a focal point of the offense. Basically, same coaches but the bad man is gone and anytime a OC takes over fully you can expect subtle changes to the offense … will Wallers usage still be used the same? Max, similar to Mason and Jarro, watch football on Saturday and golf on Sundays.
Adam vs Ben
This is a huge game for Adam. You need to win the games you’re projected to win. This should be easy, just pray Tom draws Mike Evans name out of the hat this week and gives him all the touchdowns. Ben, enjoy some golf on Sundays.
Papa Tim vs Logan

Mitchell vs Hanna
Speaking of people who need a win… man oh man does Hanna need a win in the worst way. Fortunately, my two best players are on bye. Unfortunately, so are literally all her good players. I beat Hanna in a 5k last weekend and she still isn’t talking to me, so I can only imagine she plans to take it out on me in 2 ways.
- Leaving my ass in the middle of the woods Saturday during our long run.
- Beating me in fantasy football on Sunday
It’s the only way the universe can be set to rights.
