Derek
No team had more to gain in the draft this year than Derek. A team that was absolutely slammed with picks, including 3 first round picks. Here’s my issue with Derek’s draft… It’s JK Dobbins at 3 and it’s really only because I like Cam Akers better. Now, both are very good. Both have should have very good careers but there are two reasons why I think Cam should have been your pick at 3. 1. With Caleb picking behind you, we knew he was going to take Cam Akers, but we don’t know if he would have taken JK, and I think, there’s a decent chance he wouldn’t have taken him so you could have had both. 2. Cam is going to be much better off the jump. Clear path to playing time, JK… not so much. So, unless you’re going with a two year rebuild (which would made me ask a ton of questions about your draft) you should have taken Akers to have a better chance of the playoff this year. Outside of that, good draft. First three picks were solid, you got my 1st next year for a 2nd this year and you got some solid vets to sure up the bench. I am giving you a B but it’s mainly the Cam Akers stuff.
Jarro-
No team had more to gain in the draft this year than Jarro. A team that was pretty set with starters but needed to add more in the bench depth and a little more in the trade fodder category. He did exactly that. Henry Ruggs sliding to him might have been the steal of the first round because not only was he one of the best WR’s in the draft, he is also in the best situation in LV. Now, you could argue CeeDee Lamb is in the best situation but Ruggs is the only WR of note in LV. I am no Jon Gruden guy but no one can argue that he doesn’t know what he is doing with an offense. I believe he will be Jarro’s no doubt starting WR by week 6. The rest of the draft is masterful because it’s just people he will try to trade. Solid, 8-10 points a week guys that we will try to parlay a struggling star for around week 2. Well done my friend. I am also a low key DeAndre Washington fan… I think there’s a greater than 0 chance that he has a very useful role in KC this year. I am giving Jarro’s draft an A.
Ben-
I have some issues with this draft BUT there were a couple really good picks that could have saved the draft. Let’s start with what I like. I really like picking Matt Breida & Boston Scott, those are two dudes that are in a RBBC that we have no clue how it will look and there’s a decent chance one of those two turns into a weekly starter for you. Now, to what I don’t like… basically everything else except Stafford. Phillip Lindsay in the first round was a really bad pick. I am sorry. I wish there was an easier way to put it. Lindsay is Terrek Cohen… not good enough to start, not bad enough to cut. Watkins, Jeffery, Goff and Hyde could all end up of the waiver wire at any point in the season. This hurts me more than it hurts you… D+
Adam-
GUYS… I GET NO PLEASURE FROM DOING THIS… Adam you had a really bad draft. I am sorry. I don’t want to roast the team, but I feel like you left me no choice. First, Darius Slayton… In the first round… The third string WR and probably 4th or 5th target on the GIANTS(!!!) Slayton had two really good weeks last week when several targets for the offense were hurt. One pro, would be that Slayton is young… but still… Slayton set the tone for a draft that only got worse, Josh Allen, the ghost of Rob Gronkowski, Chase Edmonds, Hunter Henry… all players I could do without. I don’t think young Ryan Tannehill… I mean Josh Allen, is very good. Gronk will be useful but I doubt he plays a full game load, Edmonds is just a handcuff, Henry wasn’t great last year and now is on an offense, without an argument, worse. It’s not a horrible draft, I guess what I’d say is I am not mad at you… just disappointed. C-
Hanna’s Honeys
Okay, another team that doesn’t need “best available” but needs to fill out a roster here. Basically, I think your draft went 50/50. Half good picks, half bad. Zack Moss sliding to 12 is criminal. Maybe the steal of the draft. I like the dice roll of Bryce Love and AB. I understand the Tony Pollard pick. Noah Fant is a steal. You stole Tua from me but almost needed a sling for where you got him at. The rest…eh. LET JERICK MCKINNON DIE. HE IS DONE. STOP PICKING HIM. Same for Kenny Stills. Same for Gio. Overall… your draft was eh… B-.
Logan’s Legion
There is no team that has improved this offseason like Logan. He went from being an easy win team when you played him, to now being a team that I think is a lock for the playoffs. As far as the draft goes, it’s kinda hard to grade (like my team) because again, it’s not about “best player available” it’s more about who did Logan need. Logan’s team has a lot of solid starters but he needed some trade fodder to hopefully get a superstar later in the year, he did just that. He added some good bench depth and a couple good dart throws, including, Tevin Coleman, Auden Tate and my personal favorite Laviska Shenault Jr. Logan is getting a B+ for the effort.
Papa Tim
Last year Timbo rolled the dice on some young receivers and it really paid off… well Timmy went back to the well… to say the least. Now, before we knew about Fournette, we thought Tim was pretty set with starters so he could roll the dice on a bunch of rookies, without Fournette those starters get thin QUICK. Swift falling to you was a gift but the rest were reaching your arm out of socket. You get a C…. and C’s get degrees… so there’s that.
Uncle Sammy’s Elite
Caleb was the benefactor to Derek’s poor 3rd overall pick so he got Cam Akers with the 4th overall, which is perfect for Caleb’s team. He needed a starting RB that could have start week 1 and outside of CEH, Akers is that guy. Latavius Murray might end of being the best pick of the draft (if Kamara holds out) the rest is a snooze fest. I like Cam Akers so much I’ll give you a C+
Mason’s Mistress
So… Mason had the best draft, obviously, but what I think is more impressive than CEH and Jon Talyor, are some of these late round picks. Allen Lazard has all the hype of that number 2 WR in GB. Brian Edwards is apparently a starter in Las Vegas. Chris Thompson got you a second overall next year. Corey Davis is a talent who gets a whole off season and half a regular season with Tannehill. Engram is a super solid guy. You get an A. I hate you.
The Dahminators
Maxi! First draft… I mean… how much fun was that? Ammi right?? You know what’s not fun… your draft. Well, I’ll cut you a little slack, you didn’t have many early picks so it was more about (once again) getting what you need with what you have. I like Justin Jefferson, I think he can be a starter for you this year. I like Kyler Murray, he has top 5 QB potential. I am not a fan of basically the rest of your draft. Waller I guess can start a couple games but Henderson, Gage, MVS, Kemt… I don’t really see a way any of those have starter value. Steve Sims is a dart throw but a dart throw with a bad QB… YES I SAID IT! A BAD QB!. For your first draft… dealing with the pressure, the anxiety, finally getting to the Show, not that bad. You get a B-

I guess you just forgot about the last time Cam Newton played QB… anywhere… let me remind you… HE WAS TERRIBLE. Couldn’t hit the broadside of a barn. James Washington, 4th string WR. Ito Smith, I know you don’t watch much football, but I’ll fill you in on how he did last year HE WAS TERRIBLE. LITTLE ASS DEREK COULD HAVE RUSHED FOR MORE YARDS IN THOSE GAMES THAN ITO SMITH. Mike Williams, not only is he hurt but he also has Tyrod Taylor throwing the ball to him. Brandon Aiyuk. Garbage. Gandy-Golden. Who the hell is that?? Jack Doyle UNLESS ANDREW LUCK IS COMING THROUGH THAT DOOR JACK DOYLE IS TTTTTRRRRRAAASSSSHHHHHH. All in all you get a B-.
